Office Communicator (OCS) to Lync Migration
On Friday, January, 27th 2012 at 4PM EST CNS-OSG will begin migrating
users from Office Communicator server to Lync server. During the migration,
clients may experience a brief disconnect as they are moved from OCS to Lync.
Microsoft Office Communicator should continue to work but does not support all the
features available to Lync.
Lync (Microsoft Lync 2010) is available to install in
"CLASnet Applications", which is located on your desktop and in the
Start Menu. (Posted January 27, 2012)

Continuing Issues
- Over 95% of all email traffic is spam, viruses, or phishing scams.
- Phishing scams via email (such as "UPDATE YOUR ACCOUNT") still circulate, despite all of the AntiSpam systems. No UF computer administrator will ever request your password.
- Centralized computer networking and IP Telephony (VoIP) are coming to CLAS. Read more on the CLASnet Wall Plate page.
- Gatorlink SMTP server for off-campus email users.
