Quick Links
Nov 9, 2009 Walker Hall is experiencing some issues with computers on the second floor. We are working with CNS to resolve the situation.
Nov 6, 2009 The Service Request, User, and Computer forms have been rewritten. To prevent their use as spam relays, the forms only work from campus or VPN computers.
Oct 26, 2009 The Novell Netware print server (IPRINT) has been shut down. Any computer not converted to UFAD can no longer print. Please get with your department contact to schedule a migration to UFAD.
Oct 14, 2009 The first phase of the UF Active Directory migration is complete. No one should be accessing the CLASnet Netware servers any longer. Any remaining unmigrated users need to schedule appointments via their unit contact.
Oct 9, 2009 We are phasing out our SMTP and Majordomo servers. Please make sure you have migrated any mailing lists to UF Exchange or UF ListServ.
Continuing Issues
- Phishing scams via email (such as "UPDATE YOUR ACCOUNT") still circulate, despite all of the AntiSpam systems. No UF computer administrator will ever request your password.
- Our UF Active Directory Migration site contains information about UF Exchange email, new server connection instructions, and details on graduate student resources.
- Centralized computer networking and IP Telephony (VoIP) are coming to CLAS. Read more on the CLASnet Wall Plate page.
- Gatorlink SMTP server for off-campus email users.
- Network Services has disabled the deprecated IPX and Appletalk protocols in most campus buildings.
