Microsoft Forefront Antivirus Migration
CLASnet is switching antivirus protection from McAfee Antivirus to Microsoft Forefront on managed PCs. There will be a pop up notification warning that there is no virus program on the PC as McAfee is uninstalled.
Forefront will then be installed. When properly installed there will be a green shield icon in the system tray.
Some systems may request a reboot after the system update has been completed.
CLASnet has been testing Forefront for the past several months without any known issues. We have seen an increase in virus detection and reporting as well as an improvement on system resources utilization on the client computer.
